AREA ENGINE

The AREA Engine (Augmented Reality Enhanced Analytics) is the core intelligence behind Forest Classroom’s immersive experiences, by capturing and analysing student engagement during AR learning experiences.

It collects real-time data using mobile sensors, recording interaction patterns (taps, swipes, movement), emotional cues (facial expressions, voice tone, heart rate), spatial behavior, sensory input (touch and gaze), and learning performance (task scores, duration). This data is processed both on-device and in the cloud to ensure speed, privacy, and security.

 

The results are displayed in the intuitive AREA Dashboard, giving educators and researchers insights into student focus, participation, and emotional state. Features include engagement heatmaps, progress tracking, and alerts for disengagement. AREA supports evidence-based teaching and enables timely interventions, personalising learning experiences for each student.
