Manjeet is a researcher and PhD candidate at Deakin University, with over 30 years of industry experience in business management, innovative technology platforms, and the design of mobile-based immersive media. He specialises in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR), with a focus on developing mobile applications that leverage persuasive technology for online help-seeking in social, community and educational contexts.

Manjeet brings extensive expertise in industry collaboration, business operations, and technology development, gained through managing ICT startups, securing grants and venture funding, and delivering outcomes on government IT projects. His experience includes building strategic partnerships, leading cross-sector project collaborations, and fostering innovation through applied research.

His current interests lie in applied research and teaching, where he combines practical business insights with academic rigor. His focus areas include AI-driven virtual chatbots, UX (User Experience) smart interfaces, Augmented Reality (AR), and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).

As an IT Consultant, Manjeet assists clients in transforming, designing, and developing IT systems and applications using emerging web and mobile technologies.

His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Human Factors (HF) Engineering. He also holds a Master of Science (Research) in Information Technology from Deakin University, Australia, and is currently in the final phase of completing his PhD in Augmented Reality Enhanced Analytics.
